Full Job Description – Application Engineering

American Technology Components, Inc. is seeking a hardworking, reliable, and dedicated employee to be part of our team. We are looking for someone to provide design, technical analysis, and implementation of automated test equipment for printed circuit board assemblies and cable assemblies as well as support the manufacturing process.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Concept Designs & Feasibility Studies.
• Brainstorm new ideas and create new designs with engineering design teams.
• Provide technical support and service to new and existing customers and products.
• Competitive product research including technology and sales structure.
• Identify customer opportunities to implement existing network products.
• Work with Design Engineer to create network system bill of material and system layout.
• Multilevel customer collaboration to optimize design for customer install and usability.
• Discuss layout and assembly procedures and potential problems with the engineering manager, design teams, and production supervisors.
• Phone support for technical service on new product implementations.
• On-site troubleshooting and technical support on new product implementations.
• Create service school material with ownership of material and delivery process.
• Conduct service schools at customer locations.
• Overnight travel is possible.
• Hands on work with equipment, including but not limited to digital multimeter, and oscilloscope, soldering iron, and ATC Network configuration tools.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of Engineering Experience in electronics with RV/Bus systems required.
• Bachelors’ Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent preferred.
• Competency with Electrical engineering software, and Microsoft office required.
• Must be capable of working individually on projects and contributing to team projects.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required with the ability to prepare written specifications and contract documents.
• Must have knowledge of Electrical Engineering and design and be familiar with applicable codes, standards, and acceptable industry practices.

SCHEDULE:

Monday – Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
